Marriage Is God’s Covenant Design
Jesus returns to creation: one man and one woman joined by God in a one-flesh covenant. Marriage is more than romance or a private contract. It forms a faithful union intended for companionship, holiness, family life, and mutual good. Because God joins the covenant, husband and wife should protect it with seriousness and tenderness.

Love and Respect Under Christ
A husband is called to sacrificial, nourishing love modeled after Christ, never domination or selfishness. A wife is called to willing respect and supportive partnership, not inferiority. Both belong equally to Christ, practice humility, and seek the other’s good. Sinful control, intimidation, and abuse contradict the Lord they claim to follow.

Communication and Conflict
Strong families tell the truth in love, listen before answering, control anger, and deal with problems promptly. Confession and forgiveness are essential because every home includes imperfect people. Winning an argument must never become more important than honoring Christ and understanding one another.

Raising Children
Parents teach God’s word through instruction, example, correction, affection, and repeated daily conversation. Discipline should be purposeful, consistent, and never provoking or cruel. The congregation supports families, but parents carry the primary responsibility to form habits of worship, wisdom, work, compassion, and obedience.

Grace for Every Household
The church includes married people, singles, widows, children, blended families, and those carrying grief or disappointment. Christ’s family must value each person and refuse to make marital status the measure of spiritual worth. Every household can become a place of prayer, hospitality, service, and faithful witness.
